Daily Make-up Bag.

I'm not one to wear a lot of make-up and unless I have plans for the day I don't wear anything. I can be really naughty and forget to take my make-up off before I go to bed sometime which is obviously terrible for my skin! I'm working on it though!

When shooting for this post, it was quite a shock seeing how much I actually put on my face every day and that I really do need to be careful and make sure I take care off my skin and wash my face thoroughly every day.

I recently bought a new foundation which I am loving at the moment, it's Rimmel Londons, Wake me up foundation I was previously using Dream Matte Mousse but found it quite cakes and couldn't find the right color for me. I prefer liquid foundation anyway so coming across this one was perfect, i'd read a load of good reviews on it so knew it wouldn't let me down! I've tried one of the Mac liquid foundations as well but didn't find the coverage was right for me, I do want to try a better coverage Mac  foundation because I do love their make-up!

Base: Foundation, Concealer and Powder.
For my base I use Collection, Lasting Perfection concealer in Light for any blemishes and under my eyes! I use the foundation as above and then Rimmel London, Clear Complexion powder in Transparent 021 to buffer and take care of any unwanted shine!

Bronzer
I've only recently started wearing bronzer so haven't experimented with anything other than this one, I do want to experiment and get my hands on some alternative brands and colours. I use Rimmel London, Natural Bronzer in Sun Light 021 on the cheek bone, jaw line and forehead.

Blusher
This blusher from Avon is one that my mum used to use, it's not a bright pink more of a browny one which was what I wanted, I have quite rosy cheeks anyway so don't need a lot of it anyway just to line the cheek bone and give my face a bit more shape. It's lasted absolutely ages.

Brow kit
My and Saz get our eyebrows threaded every 3 weeks and we've both become almost obsessed with the shape and colour of everyones eyebrows. I'm always jealous of other peoples! I fill mine in to define the shape and make them slightly darker without drawing them on! I use GOSH, Brow Kit in 001.  The brush isn't as thin as it could be so I need to purchase a thinner separate one.

Brow Highlight, Mascara and Lip Conditioner
I also highlight my eyebrows using the Topshop eye palette in Orion and then Maybelline, New Volume Express Mascara. I started using this after reading reviews that it was good and I love it, then to finish I just use Blistex Lip Conditioner, especially in this weather my lips suffer a lot.

That's it, my face complete!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone! Sorry it's a bit late, i've been busy over Christmas this year.

I can't believe how quickly this year has gone and that it's Christmas day today, seems like only yesterday everyone was hyping about the 21st of December 2012 and the 'End of the World' malarky. How this year has flown eh, not to say a lot hasn't been achieved of course!

In terms of presents, I for one have been utterly spoilt this year, I am so thankful for everything I have received, I love all of it. I'm one of those that can't stop looking at things when I get something new, so I was surrounded by my gifts all day!

As you know me and my girls did a joint gift for each of us meaning we could spend a bit more and get something really memorable and lovely, that they actually wanted! My girls did good! They printed off all of my instagram pictures, got me a beautiful photo album and "To Do" list notebook (I'm always making lists) a new aux cable for my car, as mine seems to be forever breaking and a new sketchbook. I was over the moon and will definitely be using all of them!

Me and Saz went to see our friends mum who we are super close with on Monday and had a massive girly chat and catch up, we exchanged presents and all that! She text me saying that she loves what we got her which i'm super glad with as we weren't sure the candles were her style or not and she got both of us a 'Ted Baker' beauty bag! They're gorgeous, I got a light pink one and Saz hasn't opened hers yet so i'm not sure what color hers was. How amazing is that, she's got such good taste and knows us so well!

My grandparents always spoil the whole family at Christmas and this year was no exception. I was handed a large, beautiful box in which my presents were wrapped, the box was a present in itself let alone the presents within it. They bought me these really cute grey boot like slippers with polka dots and a funky pattern on them, they're super comfy and will definitely be worn a lot this year. I also got, a fur head band which i've been wanting for ages, it's a gorgeous brown color and is from the 'Hawkin collection'. Lush! My grandparents also got me, a necklace, some beauty essentials, a photo album, a really cute little bracelet from 'Equilibrium' and my main present from my nanna was something I knew I knew I was getting but by far my favorite. Over the year nanna had been knitting my this beautiful baby blanket, I'd be admiring one she's knitted for my cousins baby and my mum asked nanna to knit one for my children. It's absolutely adorable and a something I will treasure forever.

Matthew, my brother got me Calvin Klein for her perfume which smells amazing! He also got me a rucksack style bag that I wanted from Primark and a pack of 3 beautifully packaged candles from 'Lily-Flame'. They're super cute and I can't wait to curl up with my kindle and light them.

My parents are just as bad at spoiling me and my brother, they spend far more than they should and a lot above the budget they set every year. Mum absolutely loves christmas so doesn't care! My main present from my parents is my beautiful 'Michael Kors' watch. It's absolutely gorgeous, it's a white and gold chronograph watch, fits beautifully and I just love it! I knew I was getting it but obviously haven't been able to wear it until now. They also got me all the essential little 'stocking fillers' (although we don't have stockings) like body spray, lip balm you know the usual. They also bought me a greyscale London calendar with red color splash, as my room is black and white with hints of color this will look ace! I got a 2014 diary, tin of shortbread biscuits, a new toiletry bag which I might use for my nail varnishes, they got me a new set of vibrant colored nail varnishes, a pack of new stud earrings, a pair of really cut sparkly black tights (they're not even itchy!) and a laptop case, which i've needed since I bought my laptop! How amazing are they! I'm such a lucky girl!

Christmas dinner was gorgeous as well, mum definitely out done herself this year. We had a massive turkey which will definitely make a few more meals! Brussel sprouts, parsnips, roast potatoes, pigs in blankets and my favorite, stuffing! Yum! We then had mince pies and christmas pudding for afterwards, we were all absolutely stuffed!
I'm one of the lucky ones that got more than one Christmas dinner this year. My aunt and uncle and all the cousins came round for lunch, 12 of us squeezed into our conservatory! It was lovely to see everyone and the lunch was amazing, I was well and truly stuffed afterwards.

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas break and a drunken New Year!

Just a daily update.

Right, turns out remembering and finding the time to write a post every week is proving harder than i first thought. Especially around this time of year with so much going on, seeing family and still being at work getting round to actually writing a post is harder that i anticipated. I knew it wouldn't be easy but didn't expect it to be so time consuming, now i understand how full time bloggers and bloggers feel!

I'm working today and tomorrow which isn't ideal, i hate the idea of working on Christmas eve, there's so much more fun stuff i could be doing! I can't imagine much work will get done though, so it's going to be a busy day today trying to get everything done so i don't have to do anything tomorrow! Is that naughty?

I went with dad to Derbyshire to pick my grandparents up on Sunday morning, i had to be up at 5:30?! I wasn't impressed, but it was so worth it to see my grandparents, we drove there, got them and all the christmas presents packed into the car and were back home by 11 o'clock!

Me and my family and proper into board games, we're a really close family and love spending time with each other. Even my brother! We played quite a few although trying to teach the oldies the new games was interesting/a nightmare. Bless them!

I've been demoted to sleeping on a mattress on my brothers bedroom floor for a week whilst my grandparents are round and even have to sleep on the sofa when my brothers girlfriend stays! Talk about getting no beauty sleep for the next week. Although, me and my brother need to finish getting ready for christmas, we are making mum a photo book with loads of pictures and quotes and things in it but we still haven't finished it! We'll be up late on christmas eve trying to finish that and getting it wrapped without her knowing.

I have an exciting evening tonight though! Me and my two girls are having our christmas day tonight, we're ordering some munch and opening our presents to each other as we won't be together again now until after christmas. I'm super excited and can't wait to see what they think of their things. Should be fun! Me and Saz are also delivering some presents to our friends parents, who we are super close with and they've said they've got something for us too.

Eep i love christmas.

My mum has planned a treasure hunt for tomorrow evening, which we do every year. It's where mum hides a present (this year i think it's a big chocolate santa) and then she leaves clues throughout the house for us to find them. It's so cute and gets us in the christmas mood. Me and my brother love it even though some would say we're too old for it! Neither of us sleep on christmas eve, we never have done.

I'll update you about the treasure hunt, christmas eve, christmas day and what i got for christmas, if i remember and have time i'll post again tomorrow but chances are it won't be for a few days after christmas now, please don't hate me!

Winter Wonderland!

Hey guys, hope you're all enjoying the festive season so far and super excited for Christmas, i know i am! To get is in the mood for all things Chrismas we headed to London for Winter Wonderland. If you haven't been before it's definitely worth taking a trip down there, even if it's just for the evening. It's free entry but food, drinks and the rides can be quite expensive. Even if you only go for the beautiful lights and atmosphere it's so worth it.

View of the Wonderland taken from the top of the fun house.

We went on a Friday night and because i had work we didn't get there until about 8 o'clock and unfortunately it starts closing at 10. Despite this we had an amazing time, we went on two rides; one of the funhouses and a spinning ride that we all felt pretty ill after!

I'd highly recommend checking out the funhouses though, i'm always pretty skeptical when it comes to these, they always look a lot better than they are but this one was incredible. I won't ruin it but it's longer than you expect and there's a few surprises!!

The standard funky mirror shot!
It was so busy when we went but everyone seemed to be really enjoying it, there was the occasional very drunken person stumbling around but it was a good laugh! The ride queues went pretty quickly so it wasn't a case of waiting around for things. It was just a really nice night out and i didn't spend anywhere near as much money as i thought i would.

I do however wish we'd taken the opportunity to go on the wheel that has been set up, it looked beautiful with the lights around it and i just think the photos from the top would have been incredible.

Prettyyy!
I'll definitely be going back next year but might may it a day thing rather than just the evening, with more time to have a proper look round and visit the christmas market (which we didn't manage to find) i think it would have been even better.

Only 9 days until Christmas! Uber exciting!

Let the festivities begin!

So I know it's not even December yet but i've been super excited for Christmas this year and couldn't wait. I'm a pretty organized person anyway so didn't want to leave anything until the last minute.

Luckily for me all of my friends are really festive and, like me, they absolutely love the Christmas season too! We've planned out our Christmas dinner and present exchanging date already. I can't wait for it. I'm not going to lie, i'm a big lover of food so Christmas dinner is always a bonus of this time of year.

I do however thing it's wrong to be as desperate as I am to give everyone their presents already. It's too early right?

Me and my best friend, Sarah, or Saz as she's known to us have spent the last couple of nights wrapping presents and I spent last weekend wrapping the family presents with my mum. (She's a super organized person, must be where I get it from!)

We bought our friend Henry's parents some presents as they do so much for us and are more like an older addition to the group rather than parents of one of them. They're so lovely and such fun to be around and we knew exactly what we wanted to get them. Alcohol and chocolate!

Then this year we've decided to group together to get presents for the 5 of us that are in our little 'group' of friends. It meant that we didn't all have to decide what to get everyone individually however it's proven ridiculously difficult to think of something for each person. Luckily I was given the easy person so have managed to almost completely finish them already. I got the member of our group that goes to uni, the only one! We thought the best thing we could do for her would be to get her a care box, but not the traditional non-perishable foods and all that, the cute stuff that she'll want rather than need. We were given a £60 budget (£15 from each person towards the present) and i've well and truly spent that.

In the box we've put:

  • a pad of paper
  • a pack of biro pens
  • a book of 12 stamps
  • a packet of envelopes
  • 6 balls of knitting wool (She's a big fan of knitting! Who would've thought!)
  • chocolates
  • a student cook book
  • a frame with a picture of the 4 of us so she's always got us there
  • a pack of printed photographs
  • condoms - better safe than sorry!
  • silicone cupcake cases
  • 2 types of cupcake decorations
  • 4 hand written letters (one from each of us)

And believe it or not that all added up to £60 very quickly!

I can't wait for everyone to get their presents and just see what everyone thinks of everything. I also really want to know what i've got!!

How cute is the wine bag.

Eeep, I love christmas. I hope this has put you guys in the festive mood slightly or even given you an idea as to what to get someone?

Slacking already!

Sorry guys, i'm slacking already. I've been super busy with work and haven't had time to edit the images that I want to add to my posts.

I'm in the middle of creating a backlog of posts so you're not waiting like this again for another one.
My aim is to have at least one post out a week but occasionally I will be too busy or simply have nothing to write about.

Nonetheless there is loads more you can check out. I'm forever on twitter, posting the most random and boring tweets but feel free to take a look. I'm also always updating my instagram so i'll add the links to those at the bottom of this post for you to check out. Currently they will be far more interesting than this blog.

I'm getting there though I promise!

The beginning.

Welcome! I have finally, after many many years, set up this little blog to share with you anything and everything. This is a, currently empty, space for everything from my daily doings to my wardrobe.

I hope you take from this, a little inspiration and a lot of love.
